The Agronomic Engineering program provides general training of professionals for the management of production systems, and the ability to increase performance of agricultural and livestock systems by improving quality, efficiency and profitability of production, while preserving soil fertility and providing proper environmental management.
The Agronomy Engineering degree is accredited by the National System of Accreditation of Higher Education (Sinaes), which ensures the quality and excellence of the academic program.
The program should be of special interest to innovative, creative persons who are interested in creating comprehensive solutions for production, capable of physical and research work aimed at ensuring the development of process structures to optimize resources.
Our students develop practical and theoretical knowledge through a “learn by producing” method which allows them to develop a business mentality and a clear awareness of socioeconomic and environmental contexts, using a systems approach.
Due to the general training the students receive, especially in the management of agricultural production systems, graduates have job opportunities in a wide range of agricultural and agribusiness companies and biofactories, and even have the possibility of establishing their own technology-based company.

- Participating critically and creatively in production activities, with a clear knowledge of the social, economic, cultural and environmental contexts of the agricultural sector.
- Planning and directing agricultural and livestock farms.
- Directing technical assistance and research projects in sustainable agriculture.
- Promoting agricultural diversification by creating and validating alternative technology.
- Managing integrated sustainable production systems.
One of the most important teaching resources that the program provides is an area of more than 500 hectares where different production systems in basic grain and animal production are developed, such as beef cattle, milk cattle, buffalo, pigs, rice and corn.
Students have daily contact with production systems that allow them to enhance their knowledge.
