Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene is the first career in Costa Rica accredited by the Central American Agency for Accreditation of Architecture and Engineering Programs (ACAAI).

Students can choose to obtain a Licentiate’s Degree in Engineering in Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene.

The Master's program in Occupational Health also offers academic and professional degrees, which is open to graduates from the TEC and other national or foreign universities.

Continuous transformation

The program previously offered a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene (Plan 1411).

To improve the program for accreditation with the Central American Agency for Accreditation of Architecture and Engineering Programs (ACAAI), the study plan was changed to a Licentiate’s Degree in Engineering in Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene (Plan 2151).
