The major of Labor Safety and Environmental Health Engineering started in 1980.  It is part of the School of Industrial Production and in this moment it offers a Bachelor and a Master’s degree.

Students of the Bachelor’s degree program can also obtain an Associate’s degree.  Also graduate students from technical institutes or colleges such as the CUNA (Colegio Universitario de Alajuela) have access to a specific program to obtain a B.A.  On the other hand, the academic and professional Master’s degree in Labor Health is a program that includes several fields.
