School of Biology

 School of Biology

The School of Biology directs its efforts to three specific activities:

1) Offer the Biotechnology Engineering Career.

2) Be in charge of the Center of Biotechnology Investigation CIB (“Centro de Investigación en Biotecnología”).

3) Offer courses of service to other careers of the Costa Rican Institute of Technology.

This School takes of the challenge the Costa Rican society has conferred to it through investigations and the formation of Biotechnologists. As a matter of fact, these aspects help in the solution of problems related to science and technology to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the country.

Academic School Director: MAP. Jaime Brenes Madríz.
