The Electronic Engineer is a professional that generates, adapts and incorporates electronics technology for the benefit of the country, through critical thinking, efficient analytical methods in working and research environments.  Electronics technology involves devices and systems such as:  integrated circuits, microprocessors, data communication networks, etc, which pursue the management of information and control of the processes that increment productivity, equipment and human resources safety as well as energy save to improve the quality of life and environmental protection.

Professional profile

  • Designs, implements and adapts electronic systems and equipment that use electronic technology
  • Supervises and authorizes, as specified by the law, the installation and operation of electronic systems and equipment
  • Provides advisory in regards to the characteristics that devices, equipment and electronic systems should meet to carry out different functions
  • Certifies compliance with technical specifications as well as electronic devices, equipment and systems calibration where it is necessary to guarantee people´s safety

Working field of Electronics Engineering

Graduates of Electronic Engineering work in enterprises and institutions where electronic systems are critical in production, such as: telecommunications, data, imagery and sound processing, industrial production, aviation and electro-medicine, among others.
